On June 6, the Omaha Tribe Head Start had a groundbreaking event for their new building. The building will be added to the Head Start and be an indoor play area. The play area would let the kids play even when it is raining, snowing, smokey, or too hot. Maria Garcia, executive director of the Omaha Tribe Head Start, said they plan to host activities that increase parent involvement.
“We are all excited here at the Head Start and Early Head Start program to be instrumental in adding a new chapter to the program’s history by building an activity center for the children’s improved health and safety,” Garcia said.
